CROSS-PLANNED TOMB HAMZA-İ KEBİR IN ANATOLIA

Abstract
Mezopotamya region has been home to many cultures beliefs and civilizations sins the past. Between 14th and 15th centuries Akkoyunlular left a great deal of art culture and established sovereignty in the southestern and eastern Anatolian. Hamza-i Kebir mosque which is the subject our study has a cruciform plan. Although the cruciform plan scheme in Turkish architecture in Anatolia is a common practice in the crypts of the Seljuk tombs it is rarely used in visiting places. This study the architectural analysis of the Hamza-i Kebir mosque will be made and the importance of the tomb in Anatolian tombs arhitecture in terms of the plan scheme will be struck and the studies on the tomb will be evaluated.
